The plateau has no shortage of villas. What it lacks is reliable information about them. A listing will say 'private pool' without saying it is four feet deep and faces the road. It will say 'valley view' without mentioning that the last 500 metres of approach road will scrape a sedan in monsoon. It will say '12 guests' when that means four beds and eight mattresses.

We started measuring. Pool dimensions and depth, measured Wi-Fi throughput, power backup capacity, whether the approach road is paved, the driving distance to Mapro Garden and to each boarding school. Then we wrote it down, property by property, and printed the numbers on the listing.

That is the whole product. Everything else — the WhatsApp-first enquiry flow, the per-person split calculator, the seasonal guides — exists because travellers on this corridor plan in group chats, on weak 4G, on the way up the Pasarani Ghat.
